The current A-Class is a Mercedes-Benz model that never made it to North America and we are thankful for that fact as from what I have read it was a dreadful little car. I was then very uninspired when the new A-Class was introduced, sure the concept car looked great but I was sure the Mercedes would somehow find a way to water it down to take the edge off. The same thing happened when I came across the new press release video for the non AMG version of the car on Mercedes-Benz TV last month. I clicked the link launching the video but quickly found a more interesting topic to read about and until today have not gone back to view it.
Well today is the day as that I was meandered back to the browser tab that contains the sleep inducing A-Class info. I was floored when clicked the play button to be greeted by not only some soothing cityscape images but a nice up beat sound track that sucked me to watch a little bit more. Soon enough the new aggressively styled A-Class appeared on screen and wow does it look a lot like the concept car. The aggressive lines that are on display when viewing the cars side profile are magical and reflect the cars aggressive stance and over sized wheels.
The video takes you on a full tour of the cars talking points, show casing all of the design and tech features that will be available which does kind of put me to sleep. However just as my eyes are about to close, the mix in some more driving footage of the A-Class and whether the footage is during the day or at night, on wet roads or dry the car looks great.
I’m sure that it will be hugely over priced and packaged with so much technology that it will be the most expensive compact car on sale but my god if I ever was going to line up to by a Merc this would have to be the one. Well it or the SLS AMG whichever one they can get in Graphite Gray first.
